This is my personal list of petty annoyances (pet peeves):

People who talk during a movie at the cinema

Litterbugs

Movie & book reviewers who reveal the ending

Magazines that are sealed in plastic so you can't peruse it before you buy (I don't buy it!)

People who leave their shopping trolley out in the carpark

Pigeons

zoos

tattoos

British soap operas - especially EastEnders and Coronation Street (too shouty, violent & depressing!)

Comic Relief - irritating way to raise money & much too aggressive

Red Nose Day - so annoying and I hate the way school children are pressured into participating

door to door salespeople

telemarketers

darts - watching paint dry is more exciting. Don't these people have something better to do?

mushrooms - I think the texture and the taste are both revolting

nose rings

cars parked on the pavement (sidewalk)

The people who stop and stand still at the bottom or top of an escalator.

Adverts at the cinema  - haven't we already PAID to see the film?

separate hot and cold taps (faucets)

Restaurants that include a service charge (tip) in the bill - I don't believe in automatic tips - the person has to earn them.

Nicknames that are supposed to be "cute" like Kitty for Katherine - it's okay for children but not adults!
